to your skin before your scan. |
 |

your scan. |
 |
Do not have physical therapy or spinal manipulation
for several hours prior to your scan. |
During the Scan
There will be no contact with your body, no injections or fluids to drink.
During the scan, you simply stand in a private room while a scanner moves
around you.
A full body scan takes approximately 45 minutes. The
breast scan takes approximately 15 minutes. You will be in a private room
kept precisely at 68 to 70 degrees F. You will be required to disrobe
to your underwear.
How the Scan Works
It uses an infrared scanning device to convert infrared radiation emitted
from the skin surface into electrical impulses that are then visualized
into color on a monitor. In short, DIMI shows how well your body is regulating
heat loss. This visual image graphically maps the body temperature and
is referred to as a thermogram. These images will then be compared to
published medical standards, looking for any variances that may indicate
your body is adapting to an injury, fighting a noxious chemical, or showing
signs of extraordinary stress.
After Your Scan
Dr. Mueller will review your scans and health assessment questionnaire,
and will tape-record his remarks for you. He may also meet with you personally
at that time to discuss the results, or will schedule a time for you to
meet with him. Regardless, you will receive his tape-recorded remarks
in the mail within the week.
If you are considering additional tests or seeking more
information about your condition, we will discuss those options during
your report.
